Newsflash, Dec 4, 2021:

Gary was getting ready to hit his second shot on the 16^th hole on the holly.  He parked his cart behind the get off the fairway rope.  As he is swinging , he is surprised that a cart comes moving by  him and finally realizes that it’s his cart.  Apparently the parking brake was not set all the way and the cart started rolling.  Everyone in his group was surprised to see it pick up speed as it rolled down the fairway.  It finally came to a stop in the hazard with it’s front wheels firmly embedded in the creek that runs through that area.  The cart could not be budged.  It may require a wrecker to get it out.

Congratulations Rack!!

The Rack Award  –  Established in 2021

“The Rack” Award plaque is established to acknowledge and recognize PMGA members who have contributed and participated significantly and continuously in efforts for the betterment of the PMGA. The plaque will be displayed in the club house.

Ed Rackowski, a.k.a Beachboy #1,  is the first recipient of this award and so honored by the award’s name of “The Rack” Award.

Ed has been a member of the PMGA for the past 20 years and has served on most of the Executive Committee positions such as President, Playday Chair, and Tournament Chair. Additionally, he fulfilled several PMGA-related roles such as Play Day Scorer, Medal Series director, and the go to person for advice. Ed’s total and significant contributions to the PMGA certainly mark him as a fitting initial awardee.
